Create Glass effect using Photoshop

For complete this tutorial we the font (as desire of you), background, and pattern used for background. With these assets we can make such a beautiful Glass Effect Image.

Open Photoshop; open a new document size 600 x 400. Set in RGB mode and 8 bit, Resolution of 72 pixels/inch with the background of white color. Set in the advanced mode color profile “Don’t Color Manage this Document” and Pixel Aspect Ratio will square.

Set the background image. Given in below the picture.

Create the first Text Layer. In here we will make our text effect which will look as Glass Text effect. Now select the Type Tool from side Menu and choose a font. You can choose as you like what. Change the font size to 83 pixels. Then type something as your wish, where I typed “Color Experts”. I hope your tutorial will be excellent as like me.

Now set the text layer which we get now. At first go to the first text layer of  Blending Option by go to Menu to Layer to Layer Style to Blending Option. Then save the below given settings.

Blending Options:

General Blending set like following. Blend Mode set theNormalwhere Opacity will be 100%. In Advanced Blending set like given, Here Fill Opacity by 0% in where Channel is set to RGB, Knockout wills none (Blend Interior Effects as group, Blend Clipped Layers as group, Transparency Shapes Layer). And Blend If set at Gray, This Layer from (0-255) % and Underlying Layer also is from (0-255) %. Then click OK to save it.

Drop Shadow:

In drop shadow set the Structure as given below. Set Blend Mode to Linear Burn in which set the color at #171718 and Opacity at 19% with Angle of (-52) degree. Then set the Distance to 12px with the Spread of 0% and Size 16px. In the Quality set contour, Noise to 0% and Layer knocks Out Drop shadow.

Bevel and Emboss:

In this step set the Structure. Before setting select Duplicate Layer to go to by Menu then Duplicate Layer. Now in structure Style will be Inner Bevel, Technique to Smooth, Depth set to 83%, Direction at UP, Size – 3px, Soften – 0%. And set in the meantime shading where Angles at 0 degree, Altitude at 26 degree. Gloss Contour anti-aliased, Highlight Mode with Linear Dodge (Add) with # ffffff and Opacity will 28%, Shadow Mode also Linear Burn with # 000000 and Opacity to 0%. Now press OK.

Again go to Blending Option through Duplicate the second Text layer. For these to go to Menu to Layer and select duplicate Layer. Save this file as your wishes name. For these go to again Blending options and set the following.

In Advanced Blending set like given, Here Fill Opacity by 0% in where Channel is set to RGB, Knockout will be none (Blend Interior Effects as group, Blend Clipped Layers as group, Transparency Shapes Layer). And Blend If set at Gray, This Layer from (0-255) % and Underlying Layer also is from (0-255) %. Then click OK to save it.

Inner Shadow:

In Inner shadow set the Structure as given below. Set the Blend Mode to Linear Burn in where set the color at #171718. Set Opacity at 24% with Angle of 180 degree. Then set the Distance to 1px with the Spread of 0% and Size 0px. In the Quality set contour, Noise to 0% and Layer knocks Out Drop shadow.

Bevel and Emboss:

In this step set the Structure. Now in structure Style will be Inner Bevel, Technique to Smooth, Depth set to 1000%, Direction at UP, Size – 4px, Soften – 1%. And set in the meantime shading where Angles at 0 degree, Altitude at 26 degree. Gloss Contour anti-aliased, Highlight Mode with Color Dodge with # ffffff and Opacity will 4%, Shadow Mode also Linear Burn with # 000000 and Opacity to 10%. Now press OK.

Again go to Blending Option through Duplicate the third and last Text layer. For these to go to Menu to Layer and select duplicate Layer. Save this file as your wishes name. For these go to again Blending options and set the following.

Blending Options:

General Blending set like following. Blend Mode set theNormalwhere Opacity will be 100%. In Advanced Blending set like given, Here Fill Opacity by 0% in where Channel is set to RGB, Knockout will be none (Blend Interior Effects as group, Blend Clipped Layers as group, Transparency Shapes Layer). And Blend If set at Gray, This Layer from (0-255) % and Underlying Layer also is from (0-255) %. Then click OK to save it.

Drop Shadow:

In Drop shadow set the Structure as given below. Set the Blend Mode to multiply in where set the color at #171718. Set Opacity at 82% with Angle of 0 degree. Then set the Distance to 2px with the Spread of 0% and Size 8px. In the Quality set contour, Noise to 0% and Layer knocks Out Drop shadow.

Inner Shadow:

In Inner shadow set the Structure as given below. Set the Blend Mode to Linear Dodge (Add) in where set the color at #ffffff. In here set Opacity at 22% and Angle of (-90) degree. Then set the Distance to 1px with the Spread of 0% and Size 0px. In the Quality set contour to Anti-aliased, Noise to 0% and Layer knocks Out Drop shadow.

Bevel and Emboss:

In this step set the Structure. Now in structure Style will be Inner Bevel, Technique to Smooth, Depth set to 1000%, Direction at UP, Size – 16px, Soften – 0%. And set in the meantime shading where Angles at 0 degree, Altitude at 40 degree. Gloss Contour anti-aliased, Highlight Mode with Linear Dodge (Add) with # ffffff and Opacity will 18%, Shadow Mode also Linear Burn with # 000000 and Opacity to 8%. Now press OK.

Stroke:

In the Structure set the Size at 5px, Position at Inside, Blend Mode at Overlay, Opacity at 27%. And set the Fill Type at color with the color of #999999. Click OK.

Then use the transfer tool by using ctrl+T transfer the image which will look like as below:
